The long design is just right up to the calves, cleverly covering the small excess fat on the thighs and buttocks, which is too friendly to pear shaped bodies. The shoulder line is well done, which can also support the silhouette even for those with sloping shoulders. The looseness is just right, and wearing thick sweaters and hoodies underneath is not bulky, but rather has a casual and lazy feeling. Small sisters don't have to worry about it. Wear high-heeled shoes or thick soled shoes to easily wear a sense of "legs below the chest".
Ordered the large and it drapes beautifully. I layer it over everything from blazers to hoodies and it works every single time. The length is genuinely maxi, which I was worried about ordering blind online, but it actually hits my ankles perfectly at 5'7.
The fabric feels really luxurious and the color in person is a gorgeous muted taupe, not too beige, not too grey. It photographs incredibly well too. My only small gripe is that the pockets are a bit shallow for my taste, but that is honestly a minor complaint for how good it looks.
Been searching for an oversized coat that doesn't swallow me whole, and this taupe Colette nails it. The 120cm bust on the medium gives me that relaxed vibe without looking sloppy, and the premium fabric actually feels substantial enough to block wind.
